The purpose of the Ignia Network is to act as a non-profit cooperative to standardize quality definitions, project management processes, and industry nomenclature as a means of enabling partnerships between web boutiques.

In the future, the network may also include an arm to provide open source licensing for code commonly required of the Network's clients. This is considered a natural evolution of the standards initiative and will be the reviewed for practicality during the next calendar year.
